Athletic Fitness in English
THIS IS THE NORDIC ATHLETIC FITNESS:
The competitions in Athletic Fitness consists of 3 different rounds:
1) Line up: athletes are evaluated for our muscular development and definition - aiming to have an athletic look but not beeing as muscular, defined or vascular as a bodybuilder.
2) Obstacle course: the obstacles differs from competition to competition but typically consist of sprinting through wheels, crawling under a “tunnel”, climbing a wall and sprinting a certain distance. The goal is to get
through the obstacles in the shortest time.
3) Third round is actually divided into two seperate events; dips and chins (pull ups), where the goal is to do most repetitions.

DIPS: The exercise starts in an upright posture, and each repetition must be carried out with full arm extensions on top. You lower your body until your upper arms are positioned parallel to the bar, then push yourself up again. No swinging/ bunging is allowed in the range of movement.

CHINS: The width of your grip must be close to shoulder width; palms facing yourself. Each repetition must be carried out with full extension in shoulders and elbows, and in the upper part of movement range your chin must pass over the bar.

The results for each of the rounds are summarized; physique round counting 50%, obstacle course counting 25% and strength events counting 25% together.
